Finally home! Momal Sheikh overcomes travel troubles in emotional return from Dubai

Pakistani actress Momal Sheikh expressed heartfelt gratitude after safely returning home to her family in Pakistan, describing the feeling as “indescribable.”

The actress documented her emotional journey from Dubai International Airport to Karachi through a series of Instagram Stories, sharing moments of anticipation, fear of flying and immense relief upon reaching home.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Momal Sheikh shared updates of her travel experience as she departed from Dubai and flew back to Pakistan. In one of the posts, she showed a flight information display board at Dubai International Airport, highlighting several flights to different destinations, including cities in Pakistan such as Islamabad, Lahore, Multan and Peshawar.

Adding the caption “Finally!!!!!!”, the actress expressed excitement after what appeared to be a long wait to travel.

Another clip captured the inside of an airport shuttle bus transporting passengers to the aircraft, where Momal wrote, “I still can’t believe it…”, revealing her disbelief and emotional state as she prepared to board the flight.

In a later post, she shared a photo while boarding a flydubai aircraft at night via mobile stairs, describing the experience of seeing airplanes up close as a “very different feeling.”

During the flight, the actress opened up about her fear of flying.

In a window-view post taken shortly after takeoff, she wrote that her “heart was in my throat,” adding that despite always being afraid of flying, this journey felt different because many passengers were holding hands as the plane departed, sharing a collective sense of relief at finally heading home.

As the aircraft departed Dubai, Momal also shared a nighttime aerial view of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, sending love and prayers to her family and friends who remained in Dubai.

Later during the flight, she posted a picture of the in-flight map showing the aircraft approaching Pakistan over the Arabian Sea, joking in Roman Urdu that she had “never watched the map this much on any flight,” reflecting her eagerness to arrive.

The emotional journey concluded with a nighttime view of Karachi from the airplane window as it prepared to land. The actress repeatedly wrote “Alhamdulillah,” expressing gratitude for reaching home safely.

In her final post after landing, Momal Sheikh thanked Allah and shared her overwhelming joy at returning to her children, husband and family, calling the feeling of being back home “just Alhamdulillah.”

Her post highlighted the recent challenges of traveling between Dubai and Pakistan, as well as her gratitude toward the travel agency and friends who helped her navigate the process.

In a separate Instagram post, Momal shared the difficulties she faced in securing a flight due to limited availability. She wrote: “I wanted to share how I managed to get back home when flights were scarce. I couldn't find any online and was even considering the Oman route! But then my friend told me about flydubai's daily flight to Karachi. Huge thanks to @jas.travel and @adilsheikh7 for securing me a seat! I reached home safely, and honestly, the airport process was smooth once I had a confirmed ticket.”
