Two cousins shot dead over old enmity in Charsadda
Two young cousins were shot dead in the Aranda area of Shabqadar tehsil in Charsadda district, police and local sources said on Friday.
According to reports, the incident occurred due to a long-standing enmity between rival groups. Armed attackers allegedly targeted the rickshaw carrying the victims and opened indiscriminate fire, killing both youths on the spot.
Local residents and teams from Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shabqadar for legal formalities.
Hospital sources identified the deceased as Habibullah, 17, and Aminullah, 18, who were cousins and residents of Sarokli Yakka Ghund.
Following the shooting, the attackers fled the scene. Police have launched a search operation to arrest the suspects and investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The tragic killing spread panic and fear among residents of the area, while police said efforts were underway to apprehend those involved in the attack.
