Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment has confirmed that international retailer company and world’s top ecommerce website Amazon will be adding Pakistan in its Sellers’ List within a few days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a tweet uploaded on Thursday, Razak Dawood said, “We have been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it’s happening. It is a great opportunity for our youth, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and women entrepreneurs.”

“We have finally made it,” Razak Dawood said.

He further maintained, “An important milestone of e-Commerce policy achieved has been through teamwork by many people across the globe.”

In the list of countries currently accepted to register for selling on Amazon, eligible sellers need to be residents in one of the 103 countries, have a valid phone number, and have an internationally chargeable credit card.

The news has sent jubilant waves among the Pakistani entrepreneurs and online traders and businessmen who are using some other country’s Amazon account to sell their domestic products to the world but now after the country status upgraded on Amazon list, Pakistanis would be able to sell their products from their own country.
