Major reshuffle sees transfer of 94 civil judges across Punjab
In a large-scale administrative move, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday ordered the transfer and posting of 94 civil judges across the province, including key changes in Lahore. The notification was issued following approval by LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum.
According to the notification, all transferred judges have been directed to assume charge of their new postings by May 11.
Among the transfers, Civil Judge Miss Gulzam Aslam has been moved from Lahore to Multan, while Miss Rukhsana Amin has been posted to Rawalpindi. Miss Kiran Nishat and Miss Wajiha Khawaja have both been transferred to Gujranwala.
Civil Judge Najam Al-Saqib has been posted to Sialkot and Nadeem Ahmed to Bahawalpur. Miss Nousheen Zartaj has been transferred to Gujar Khan, while Aleem Zia has been posted to Rajanpur.
Other notable transfers include Sadaqat Ali Khan to Mailsi, Muhammad Naeem to Alipur and Imran Raza Jafri to Liaquatpur. Miss Madiha Zulfiqar has also been posted to Rajanpur, while Muhammad Asad Sajid has been transferred to Yazman.
Zaheer Ahmed has been posted to Jampur, Miss Nuzhat Jabeen to Gujranwala, and Ahmed Nadeem Khan to Dera Ghazi Khan. Muhammad Ashfaq has been transferred to Ferozwala, while Asad Imran and Muhammad Sohail Anjum have both been posted to Mian Channu.
In reciprocal transfers, several judges have been posted to Lahore from other districts. These include Miss Nazia Ali and Miss Abida Zafar from Multan, Muhammad Shoaib Sarfaraz from Alipur, and Muhammad Abdul Sattar from Liaquatpur. Imtiaz Hussain and Ahsan Raza have been transferred from Rawalpindi to Lahore.
Additionally, Muzammil Hussain from Mailsi, Muhammad Azhar Farid from Bahawalpur, Ahsan Safdar from Gujar Khan, Muhammad Kashif Pasha from Narowal, Abid Hussain from Yazman, Muhammad Ali Amjad from Gujranwala, Miss Humaira Nawaz Khan from Bahawalpur, and Saleem Zahid Saleem from Faisalabad have also been posted to Lahore.
The large-scale reshuffle is seen as part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at improving judicial efficiency and governance across Punjab.
