Naqvi praises Pakistan Navy for rescuing distressed Indian vessel in Arabian Sea

Federal Minister for Interior Affairs, Syed Mohsin Naqvi, has commended the Pakistan Navy for its swift response to a distress call from an offshore Indian vessel stranded in the Arabian Sea, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday. 

In a statement, Naqvi said the navy acted promptly after receiving an emergency call from the vessel MV Gautam, which had developed a technical fault while en route from Oman to India.

He said naval teams provided immediate assistance to the stranded crew, including food, medical aid, and technical support, ensuring their safety at sea.

According to the minister, the aid mission helped restore essential systems on the vessel and stabilise the situation.

Naqvi praised the navy for demonstrating professionalism and termed the operation a strong example of humanitarian response.

“The Pakistan Navy has once again shown its readiness to handle all kinds of emergencies,” he said, adding that such efforts reflect the force’s commitment to safety and maritime responsibility.
