Punjab govt bans vehicles purchase in PC-1 of uplift projects
According to new orders, expenses for banners and dinner parties will not be allowed for projects
New orders have been issued for provincial departments for new schemes in the new budget under which purchase of vehicles from development budget and schemes banned, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to new orders, purchase of vehicles will not be included in PC-1 of any project.
Unused funds will be used for old and new schemes. Approval of SAP Steering Committee will be mandatory for use of unused funds. Expenses for banners and dinner parties will not be allowed for projects.
No institution will be allowed to charge administrative overheads on development schemes. Completion certificate will be mandatory from the concerned departments on completion of projects. Details of impact, expenditure, targets and completion of each scheme in Punjab will be included in the report. Details of release of funds, surrender and overall details of the programme will have to be shared. The steering committee will review the progress of the program from time to time. The steering committee will also resolve issues arising during implementation.
