PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz on Friday said neither the entire Pakistan nor Gilgit-Baltistan would accept the election results if the PML-N was defeated through rigging, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a large rally in Skardu, Maryam said neither rigging nor those involved in rigging and also the product of rigging would survive. They were going to face the people’s wrath, she added.

The PML-N leader said those planning to rig the elections must understand that Pakistan had changed since 2018 in the last two-and-a-half years, adding that the people would rule the country in future.

Being picked up in night for posting something on Twitter and Facebook or saying something in public was not the future of youth and that won’t be allowed to happen, said the PML-N leader.

She blasted Prime Minister Imran Khan for the government performance and said he would request for an NRO but was not going to get anything. “Previously, you were selected, now you are rejected.”

Maryam negated the statement of her spokesperson Mohammad Zubair and said she stood by her earlier assertion about surrounding the party turncoats whichever place they visited.

Nine party members had been forced to switch their loyalties only to become turncoats (lotas) whose rightful place was bathroom, she remarked, asking the people to protect their votes and not allow anyone to trample upon those.

The comments came as Zubair had told media that she did not mean to say that and wrong meaning was being attributed to the party leader’s speech.

Maryam said she would beg to the PML-N senior leaders that no turncoat should be able to get party ticket in future.

She maintained the country did not have any option except Nawaz Sharif and asked the youth stand up for their rights

Senior PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also addressed the charged party supporter and said November 15 was the day to give respect to the vote.

He said two former PML-N members from the Skardu region were not on the stage due to the pressure exerted on them, as they opted for leaving the party. Those pressuring them forgot that the people were still with the PML-N, Abbasi added.
