Dengue fever claimed another life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PK) and infected 183 more people in the last 24 hours (Friday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

KP Health Department said that the death toll in KP rose to nine and the total number of infected persons in the province reached 7,843. There are 1,722 patients being treated in different hospitals in metropolis Peshawar.

In the last 24 hours, another 124 people were infected with the dengue virus taking the tally to 3,599 in the provincial capital.

The health department said that 13 people were infected with dengue fever in Haripur, six in Swabi, 10 in Khyber District.   

KP Health authorities also said that 269 patients were fully recovered from the dengue virus in the last 24 hours as well.
