DI Khan police rescue 14 abducted labourers after operation in Paharpur
In a swift and effective response, Dera Ismail Khan police successfully rescued 14 abducted labourers after an exchange of fire with kidnappers in the Saidwali area of Paharpur, officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to police sources, as soon as reports of the kidnapping surfaced, police teams cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search operation. The operation, conducted under the direct supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, led to a fierce exchange of fire between the kidnappers and police.
Thanks to the timely and coordinated action, all 14 abductees were recovered safely, the DPO said. He commended the professionalism and courage of the officers involved in the rescue, including SP Paharpur, SP CTD, DSPs and other police teams.
DPO Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada reaffirmed the police’s commitment to public safety, stating that the Dera Police remain vigilant to protect the lives and property of citizens and that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
Authorities said the search operation in the surrounding areas is continuing to ensure the complete elimination of criminal elements.
