Raiwind police arrest man who tried to blackmail Khalilur Rahman Qamar

Police in Raiwind arrested on Thursday a man who threatened to leak an objectionable video of renowned playwright Khalilur Rahman Qamar and demanded Rs10.5 million for not doing so, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, blackmailer Usman Asghar threatened Qamar over a phone call to leak his videos and demanded the hefty ransom. He also threatened to release an objectionable video of Qamar with Amna Arooj and warned of dire consequences.

The arrest was made with the cooperation of the SHO Raiwind and a special police team.

Playwright Khalilur Rehman Qamar is known for hits dramas with his storytelling, social themes, and powerful dialogues, earning both admiration from the audience and respect in the industry.
