Winter around the corner as rain pounds Islamabad, Punjab, KP cities

Rain lashed different parts of Punjab, Islamabad, KP and Sindh on Monday, signaling the start of the winter season, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Showers were reported from Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Vehari, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kabirwala, Hafizabad and others. 

Similarly, rain was also reported from different parts of Karachi late Sunday night. 

North Nazimabad, Buffer Zone, Orangi Town and Baldia Town received rain. 

Likewise, rain was also reported from Swat, Mansehra and Waziristan. 

According to the weather department, the present spell of rains would continue until October 7 (Tuesday).

Punjab rain

It rained intermittently in Lahore, due to which the weather turned chilly. 

Different localities of the city, including Walton, Kot Lakhpat, Chungi Amar Sidhu, Pindi Stop, Akbar Chowk, Johar Town, Township received showers. 

Similarly, it rained for the second consecutive day in Narowal on Monday.  

Rain, accompanied by winds, resulted in the tripping of several feeders in Kasur.

The weather turned cold in Dina and its outskirts near Jhelum due to heavy rain. 

Light to moderate rain in Sahiwal inundated several areas besides leading to power outages. 

Likewise, intermittent rainfall in Pattoki and its suburbs resulted in a drop in temperatures. 

Drizzle and a cool breeze were reported from Phalia.

Light to moderate rain in and around Shakargarh signaled the start of the winter season. 

Similarly, thundershowers were also reported from Nowshera Virkan and the suburbs.

KP rain

Rain, with snowfall over the hills, was also reported from different areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), including Mansehra where Naran, Kaghan, Saiful Mulook Lake received the first snowfall of the season. 

Karachi rain

Different localities in Karachi, too, received light to heavy rain, which turned the weather pleasant. 

Rain was reported from Federal B. Area, North Nazimabad, North Karachi and Surjani Town, while light rain was recorded at Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Shahrahe Pakistan.
