WhatsApp premium feature in pipeline for business users push

September 6, 2022 05:20 PM

WhatsApp is developing WhatsApp Premium, a new feature that would let companies control chats from their connected devices in a planned subscription service created especially for WhatsApp Business users.

‘WhatsApp Premium’ is in the pipeline, and users will be able to utilize extra features including the ability to generate a unique business link and attach up to 10 devices to their accounts in the future, as per WaBetaInfo.

With the ability to handle certain chats from a particular device, the future feature will be beneficial for large businesses. The option to attach specific chats to connected devices will soon be available on WhatsApp.

A tooltip is seen to notify the user of the new feature when it becomes available for corporate accounts.

If one wants to attach a specific chat to an iOS or Android smartphone, a list of all linked devices would appear, allowing one to choose the appropriate device.

Moreover, it stated that the assigned chats will be marked on the chosen device, allowing the user to control those chats while using that device. All businesses will access this feature without any charges.

In conclusion, the feature would not be accessible for regular WhatsApp accounts as this will be a business tool. According to the Wabetainfo, this function is presently under development and will become available shortly.

In addition to this functionality, WhatsApp recently disclosed that it is working on in-app polls, wherein the app would send a survey that users may choose to accept or refuse and then respond with relevant feedback. WhatsApp has made sure that the user's account, services, and experience would not be impacted by the survey responses.
