Dar salutes martyrs and their families on Defence Day

In his message on Defence and Martyrs Day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday saluted the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan's armed forces.

In a statement, Dar said the bravery of martyrs and ghazis is the guarantee of Pakistan's defence. He said that defence of Pakistan is a sacred trust and it was carried out with faith and determination. He said that September 6 is not just a reminder of past victories but a living reality.

Dar was of the view that defenders of borders, skies and seas are a symbol of our strength. Paying tribute to the martyrs and their families, Dar said, "I salute every soldier who wears the uniform of the Pakistani armed forces. May Allah grant the martyrs a high place in heaven and grant patience to their families. The nation's resolve for the security, prosperity and peace of the homeland is unwavering."
