One killed as six bogies of freight train derail in Kotri

A freight train travelling from Karachi to Punjab met with an accident near Kotri, leaving six bogies derailed and one person dead.

According to Railway Police, six bogies of the freight train derailed shortly after leaving the Kotri Railway Station yard.

SHO Railway Police Shehzad Nazir said that one person was struck by the train and died in the accident. Rescue and railway authorities reached the site, while further investigation into the cause of the derailment is underway.
