A girl shot dead her mother in village Jagu Kallan of tehsil Phalia in district Mandi Bahauddin on Saturday and managed to escape, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Qadirabad police took the corpse into possession and shifted it to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Phalia for the postmortem.

Munazza, the girl, reportedly had differences with her mother Rasoolan Bibi over the marriage of her brother.

Sources told 24News TV channel that the deceased had contracted second marriage with her daughter’s brother-in-law.

Police after shifting the body to the hospital launched a hunt for the assassin.
