Couple rescued after falling into Sutlej River from Empress Bridge Bahawalpur

A young couple was rescued after accidentally falling into the Sutlej River from Empress Bridge in Bahawalpur, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the husband and wife slipped while standing on the bridge and plunged into the river.

Upon receiving the emergency call, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene and successfully pulled both victims from the water within five minutes.

The rescued individuals were identified as Shah Zaman (22) and Misbah (21).

 After being provided with first aid at the scene, they were shifted to Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur for further treatment.

Hospital sources said both victims are in stable condition and out of danger.
