Federal govt announces major reshuffle of senior officers

The federal government has transferred and posted several officers across key ministries and divisions, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Muhammad Hassan Abdullah Malik, Deputy Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office (Public), has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Asif Rahim,  BPS-19 of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) officer serving with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Establishment Division.

Deputy Secretary Zafar Iqbal has been moved from the Council of Common Interests (CCI) Secretariat to the National Food Security Division.

The government has also made Deputy Secretary Samad Talib of the Economic Affairs Division as an OSD to enable him to pursue a two-year Master's degree programme in Japan on scholarship.

Separately, the services of Ashiq Hussain, a Grade-18 Commerce and Trade Group officer serving in the School Education Department, Sindh, have been repatriated to his parent department, the Ministry of Commerce in Islamabad.

In addition, Section Officer Syed Kumail Haider has been transferred from the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to the National Food Security Division.
