Nawabshah’s poorest women tortured at Ehsaas Kafalat Center
The TV channel reported women alleged policemen were taking bribes for allowing women to enter in the center so they could receive their monthly stipend.
It is pertinent to note that Ehsaas Kafaalat is a programme through which the government provides cash stipends of Rs. 2,000 monthly and bank accounts to the most deserving and poorest women across the country.
For the programme, beneficiaries are identified through a household survey and through Ehsaas NADRA Desk Registration Centres assisted by SMS and Kafalat web-service.
