Lahore Accountability Court Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhry adjourned the hearing of NAB’s Ramazan Sugar Mill case against Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz Sharif till December 17, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The court adjourned the hearing of the Ramzan Sugar Mill case till December 17 after recording the statements of two witnesses Shehbaz Ali Khan and Director PDMA M. A. Tariq and summoned more witnesses in the next hearing.

Police brought the Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz in the court amid tight security while advocate Muhammad Nawaz appeared on behalf of former chief minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif in the court.

PML-N Spokesman Attaullah Tarrar speaking to media persons after the case hearing said NAB has not proved any crime against Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz Sharif.

“PTI is hiding behind a restraining order to stop the investigation of foreign funding cases,” he alleged.

PML-N Spokesperson said Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will announce its strategy on December 13. “People want to return to old Pakistan,” he said.

Earlier, the accountability court in Lahore adjourned the hearing of Ramzan Sugar Mills reference till December 7 as Hamza Shehbaz did not appear in person.

The court accepted the plea submitted on behalf of the PML-N leader, which cited the death of his grandmother as the reason, saying he was busy dealing with the people visiting to offer their condolences.

Both Shehbaz and Hamza were indicted in the case in August.
