Katy Perry goes Instagram-Official with Justin Trudeau, sharing intimate Japan moments
Hollywood singer Katy Perry has taken a major step in her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by making things Instagram-official by posting a carousel of photos and videos from their recent Tokyo escape.
Just days after they were spotted out together, Katy set social media ablaze when she uploaded a series of intimate snapshots from their Japan trip, depicting the blossoming romance with Trudeau.
On Saturday, the Firework singer shared a carousel showcasing their time in Tokyo. Among the images, 41-year-old Katy and 53-year-old Justin are seen snuggling close, posing cheek to cheek for an outdoor selfie framed by a warm autumn backdrop. In the video, Justin gazes fondly at Katy as she enjoys sushi.
Another video shows the duo immersed in what appears to be an interactive art installation. Standing before a shimmering wall of lights, the camera drifts upward to reveal the dazzling ceiling display.
Alongside the carousel, Katy captioned the post, “Tokyo times on tour and more.”
Katy’s visit to Japan is part of her ongoing Lifetime Tour, and Justin appears to have joined her in support. On Monday, the pair were spotted hand in hand strolling through Tokyo’s bustling Asakusa district before heading to enjoy dinner and a show. Their trip also included a double date with Japan’s former prime minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko Kishida.
Romance rumours first sparked in July when the Dark Horse singer and the former Canadian leader were seen walking together and grabbing a bite in Montreal. Shortly after, Justin was spotted attending Katy’s Lifetime Tour performance at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
In October, photos surfaced online of the pair sharing intimate moments aboard her yacht near Santa Barbara, California. Later, during one of her London concerts, a fan proposed to Katy from the audience.
She responded, “I wish you'd asked me 48 hours ago.” She had been photographed with Justin on the yacht two days earlier. Since then, the couple has been seen together on multiple occasions.
Katy’s new romance follows her split from Orlando Bloom. In July, the 13-time Grammy nominee and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor confirmed their separation after a decade together. Justin, meanwhile, announced his separation from his estranged wife Sophie in 2023.
