Political leadership expresses solidarity with Armed Forces, slams PTI anti-state narrative
The lawmakers from across the political spectrum have supported Pakistan’s armed forces on Sunday by criticising the PTI for what they termed as an orchestrated bid to malign state institutions and an alleged conspiracy against Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
A day earlier, the PTI had expresses dismay over ISPR press conference by calling it inappropriate and unfortunate after the spokesperson accused incarcerated Imran Khan of being a “narcissist” and a “mentally ill person” who was becoming security threat with his persistent anti-army narrative.
Speaking about the anti-state propaganda of PTI, the Minister said those spewing hatred against state and its institution will have to face a crushing defeat. He said Tehreek-e-Intishaar should be ashamed of speaking ill against the armed forces of Pakistan and the senior military leadership which brought to knees an arrogant enemy like India.
The Minister said PTI has become a tool in the hands of enemies of Pakistan as tweets and false propaganda through their official accounts is taken up and propagated by Indian and Afghan media.
Taking to the X platform, PML-N leader and Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal called Imran’s political rhetoric a deeply irresponsible and dangerous trend that seeks to undermine Pakistan’s state institutions, weaken national cohesion, and erode public trust in the armed forces who defend our borders with courage and sacrifice.
“Political differences are part of any democracy but when politics crosses the line into anti-state narrative building, deliberate misinformation, and attacks on the integrity of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and its leadership, it threatens the stability, security, and unity of the country,” he wrote.
Ahsan Iqbal added that no leader had the right to weaponise divisive rhetoric for personal gain at the cost of Pakistan’s national security.
Ahsan Iqbal said Pakistan Army was a professional, disciplined, and patriotic institution that has stood as the shield of this nation, from fighting terrorism to defending territorial sovereignty.
Ahsan Iqbal said attempt to malign the armed forces or create discord between the people and their defenders serves only the agenda of Pakistan’s enemies, adding that he strongly condemned Imran’s continued politics of hate, distortion, and incitement against the state and state institutions.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leadership has also called out the PTI for deviating from a political route and resorting to the politics of the streets to cause instability in the country.
MQM-P Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui during a press conference in Karachi said PTI has continued its politics of hurling allegations, and instead of choosing the right forum to address those allegations, it used it to create political instability in the country.
Khalid Maqbool went on to say that all political parties could have different viewpoints and even different dreams for Pakistan’s future but whenever the country found itself in crisis, all political parties are seen to be standing together.
Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi during a press conference in Rawalpindi, assailed Imran Khan by calling him a threat to national security and stating that had his claims about the ex-premier receiving funding from India and Israel been taken seriously, Pakistan would not be in the state it is now.
Echoing the words of Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the railways minister called Imran a mental patient and slammed him for a social media post against the armed forces. He also assailed Imran’s family for giving interviews to Afghan and Indian media.
His children appear on Afghan media, his sisters appear on Indian media. What’s going on here?, Abbasi asked. Imran have not been punished or mistreated. You cannot handle jail, and you’re threatening national security.
The minister added that Imran’s post targeted an entire institution rather than one person and added that since becoming an atomic power, Pakistan’s institutions have been targeted by foreign states. “If you were only against one person, you’d pray for martyrs, you would not say that MNAs going into NDU (National Defence University) are traitors because they met officers,” Abbasi stated.
He then turned his attention to Imran’s sisters, who appeared on Indian media outlets to give interviews and were the target of criticism by the government for defaming Pakistan.

Addressing a workers’ convention in Faisalabad, Federal Minister for Communications expressed gratitude to the people of Faisalabad for their warm welcome.
Aleem Khan stated that the security forces are laying down their lives to safeguard future generations. Referring to the India-Pakistan conflict in May, he said “never has it happened that seven enemy aircraft were shot down while not a single one of ours was lost.” Is this how we repay them (security forces) by speaking ill of them?” he remarked.
Federal Power Minister Awais Leghari has said that DG ISPR's press conference expresses national sentiments and the clear as well as unequivocal position of state institutions was commendable.
In a press statement, Awais Leghari said PTI’s efforts to mislead the nation were failing and the truth has come to light. Leghari said crafting a narrative against institutions was against the national interest. He said freedom of expression cannot be above the security of the country.
He said the government will fully support the decision to take action against those who are waging anti-state campaigns. Leghari said nation will not accept negative narrative about armed forces under any circumstances. He said nation wanted answers to questions related to performance in the federation and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Leghari said criticism of forces that make sacrifices against terrorism is inappropriate. He said the security of the nation was more important than any individual or personality. Pakistan's military superiority on the night of May 6 and 7 made the entire nation proud. Leghari paid tribute to the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for this success.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has advised Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Sohail Afridi to refrain from making confrontational remarks and instead prioritise the welfare of his people.
Speaking at a press conference, Bugti stressed that KP needs peace, development, and stability at this critical time. He also urged Afridi to engage the federation rather than escalate tensions through public statements.
Bugti said that while Sohail Afridi is respectable, his position does not allow him to repeatedly issue remarks that provoke tensions, especially concerning the security forces. He reminded that three provinces are currently focusing on improving the lives of their people, and KP should do the same.
The Balochistan chief minister emphasised that Afridi should open discussions with the federal government if he wants to see progress on key matters.
According to Bugti, KP’s people need stability, development, and constructive dialogue rather than continuous confrontation. Bugti noted that a dangerous narrative had been built against the state, the Pakistan Army, and the field marshal.
He warned that anti-state rhetoric only benefits hostile elements and follows a broader agenda harmful to national interests. He indirectly criticised a self-proclaimed popular leader, pointing out that his own sons live in London, suggesting a disconnect between rhetoric and responsibility. He said attitudes must change if the country is to move forward.
