Rawalpindi police arrest ringleader of armed robbery, recover Rs2.2m
Rawalpindi police have claimed to arrest the ringleader of a gang involved in an armed robbery on an egg supply van carried out a week ago, recovering Rs2.2 million looted during the incident, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.

According to police, the suspect and his accomplices had intercepted the supply van at gunpoint in the Chontra police jurisdiction and opened fire during the robbery, injuring the vehicle’s helper.

After escaping with the cash, the gang remained at large until investigators intensified efforts using technical surveillance and human intelligence.
A police spokesperson said the arrested suspect had confessed to his role in the robbery.
Raids are underway to apprehend the remaining members of the gang believed to be involved in the crime.
Police added that further investigations are ongoing, and more recoveries are expected as the operation continues.
