US judge pauses Trump's civil servant buyout scheme: US media

A US judge temporarily paused Thursday President Donald Trump's plan to offer federal employees buyout packages of eight months pay or risk being fired as part of his push to radically cut back government.

A Massachusetts federal judge paused the deadline for the administration's buyout program, which had been set for 11:59 pm on Thursday, and set a new hearing for Monday, The Washington Post reported.
