Thieves steal cash, gold worth millions from trader’s home in Gujranwala

Thieves barged into a trader’s house in a private housing society near Chanda Qila in Gujranwal and fled with cash and gold jewellery worth millions of rupees, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.

According to police, unidentified burglars broke open the main door of the house and entered the premises while the family was away.

The suspects made off with Rs240 million in cash and 118 tolas of gold jewellery, in what police described as the city’s largest burglary so far this year.

 CCTV footage showing the suspects entering and later leaving the house carrying stolen items has surfaced, providing investigators with crucial leads.

The footage reportedly captures the burglars calmly exiting the house with bags containing the looted valuables.

 Aimanabad Police Station have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace and arrest the suspects.

“The complainant stated in the first information report that the family had gone to attend the wedding of his niece when the burglars cleared out the house,” police said.
