Unusable state land in DG Khan to be auctioned

Authorities in Dera Ghazi Khan have decided to auction unusable state land in the division, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.  

A committee has been constituted to identify the state land in the division. The committee, headed by DG Khan Commissioner Dr Irshad Ahmad, will consist of Deputy Commissioner Muzzafargarh Engineer Amjad Shoaib Tareen, while Deputy Commissioner Layyah Azfar Zia has been made District Accounts Officer. 

Irrigation department officials will also be included in the committee. 

In order to auction the state land and take other decisions, the case will be sent to the Board of Revenue, Punjab. 

The purpose of auctioning the unusable land is to generate revenues that would be spent to ensure swift completion of public welfare projects.
