Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok to be wed soon

The Tendulkar household is quietly preparing for a major personal milestone as Arjun Tendulkar and his longtime partner, Saaniya Chandhok, have reportedly set their wedding date.

After months of low-key speculation and tightly guarded celebrations, it has now been confirmed that Arjun is ready to step into a new phase of life with Saaniya in an intimate ceremony scheduled for March 5 this year.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has personally confirmed the development, bringing an end to persistent rumours surrounding his son’s relationship. Saaniya Chandhok, an entrepreneur and the granddaughter of well-known Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, has been closely connected with the Tendulkar family for some time, though the couple has largely stayed away from public attention.

The path to the wedding began with a private engagement in August 2025. The ceremony was kept so discreet that only immediate family members were present, reflecting the family’s long-standing approach to handling personal milestones away from the spotlight.

The engagement remained undisclosed for several months until Sachin addressed it directly during a Reddit AMA session held four months ago. When asked, “Did Arjun really get engaged?”, the former cricketer responded without hesitation, saying, "Yes, he did, and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life."

With the wedding date now approaching, preparations are reportedly underway. According to a source quoted by TOI, the celebrations will unfold over multiple days and remain rooted in tradition.

The source stated, "The wedding festivities will begin on March 3 and will mostly be in Mumbai. Of course, it will be close friends and family only."

Staying true to the Tendulkars’ understated style, the guest list is expected to be limited to a carefully selected group that includes close relatives, long-time family friends, and a few members of the cricketing community.

Professionally, the coming year is shaping up to be significant for Arjun as well. The young cricketer continues to focus on building his career, balancing demanding training schedules alongside wedding preparations.

Sachin has previously spoken about the guidance he offers his children, again during the same AMA session, where he said, "I’ve always believed that you must chase your dreams because that’s how they become a reality.

I followed it and told the same to both my children. Like in cricket and in life, you have to trust the process, and results always follow the action."
