Senior officers in federal bureaucracy transferred, posted

The federal government on Wednesday issued orders for the transfer and posting of several senior officers, according to separate notifications released by the Establishment Division.

As per the notifications, Acting Secretary of the National Food Security and Research Division Aamir Mohiuddin has been removed from his post and directed to report to the Establishment Division. Aamir Mohiuddin, an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, was serving as Additional Secretary in the division and had been given the additional charge of secretary's office.

In his place, Secretary of the Industries and Production Division, Captain (Retd) Saif Anjum, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary of the National Food Security and Research Division. The notification stated that this arrangement will remain in place for a period of three months or until the appointment of a permanent secretary, whichever comes earlier.

In another development, the services of Zahir Shah, a Grade-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service who was awaiting posting in the Establishment Division, have been handed over to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

Separately, Yasin Murtaza, a Grade-20 officer of the Pakistan Customs Service and Director of the Directorate of Transit Trade, Gwadar, has been transferred and posted as Plant Protection Advisor and Director General of the Department of Plant Protection, Karachi.

All the above appointments and transfers have been made with immediate effect and will remain valid until further notice.
