An extremely good news for the Punjab government employees (from grade-1 to grade-19) as they will get salaries for the month of July ahead of Eidul Azha, and that too with 60 percent raise, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The government of Punjab has also notified 25 percent special allowances for over 0.7 million of its employees (from grade-1 to grade-19) for June and July, which they will get along with their salaries for July.

However, officers and other staffers of 10 departments, namely police, judiciary, doctors, engineers and the civil secretariat employees will not be entitled to the allowance.

Apart from that, 10 percent raise announced in the salaries of provincial government employees in the budget is separate.

The officers and employees not entitled to special allowances will only get their salaries with 10 percent raise.
