July 8, 2022 01:54 AM

Taking notice of stoppage of gas supply to textile mills in Punjab, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday asked the mills’ owners to meet him in the evening, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Quoting its sources, the channel reported that a delegation of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), led by its chief Gohar Ijaz, will call on the premier to discuss with him relief for the sector in view of energy crisis in the country.

APTMA chief had said a few days ago that due to the suspension of gas supply to the mills since July 1, 2022, drop in textile exports by $1 billion was feared.
