Islamabad Airport’s main runway to remain closed for 11 days

Islamabad International Airport’s main runway will remain closed for 11 days at specific times, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
During the closures, the rubber layers of the tyres of the aircraft on the runway will be scratched away.
The closure period will be from July 7 to 17, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.
During the closures, the main runway will be closed for the movement of all types of aircraft.
During the maintenance work, the arrival of aircraft will be through an alternative runway.
