Kh Asif rejects TTP claim about Group Captain Asim’s martyrdom

Repudiating the claim made by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) regarding the martyrdom of Group Captain Asim Tariq in Islamabad, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Tuesday that the tactics employed by these terrorists to get publicity stood exposed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a post on X, he said that the TTP had claimed that it was responsible for the martyrdom of the PAF officer.

“These militants are not trustworthy at all. Tomorrow, they may start taking the credit for thefts, robberies, dacoities and other crimes committed in the country,” he said, adding that the purpose of the militants was only to take credit for something which had nothing to do with reality and morality.
