A disheartened lover threw acid on the face of a woman on her refusal to marry him in Johar Town, Lahore, reported 24NewsHD Tv channel on Monday.

Reportedly, Ahmad was in love with Maryam and wanted to marry her. But Maryam declined his marriage proposal. Fumed over his rejection, the dismayed lover threw acid on the face of Maryam, burning her face.

The woman was shifted to a local hospital.

Taking notice of the incident, CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar ordered action against the culprit.
