Train driver tells story of horrific train accident

Sir Syed Express driver Ejaz Ahmed explained how the tragic incident occurred and said he saw bogies fell in front of him on the down track and he along with his assistant driver tried for emergency breaks but the accident happened so quickly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Ejaz Ahmed said: “The accident took place near Daharki Train at 3:45am in the morning and my assistant driver Iftikhar Chak is in a critical condition.”
“Me and my assistant driver were awake and alerted,” the driver told 24NewsHD TV channel.
The train driver said that two air-conditioned business class bogies and a dining car of Sir Syed Express were affected in the accident while three AC Business Class bogies, eight Economy Class Bogies of Millat Express were damaged.
A police Constable named Ali Nasir in Railways Police hailed from mouza Gadara of teshil Kabirwala also lost his life in the unfortunate incident. He was posted at Sir Syed Express 36 Down train. He was the son of school teacher Nasir Shah.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed grief over the horrific train accident near Dharki, a city located in the Ghotki district of upper Sindh, which claimed the lives of 30 passengers.
The PM Imran Khan has asked the Railway Minister to provide all-out support to the bereaved families and has ordered a detailed investigation into railway safety faultlines.
