KP suspends 24 more teachers in connection with May 9 incidents

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department suspended 24 more teachers for participating in the May 9 violent protests.

They were suspended after the completion of the inquiry, according to documents available with the 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner of Lower, action has been taken against the troublemaking teachers.

The teachers have been suspended under the E&D Rules 2011.

They include Muslim, Jamal Farooq, Abdul Basit, Shehbaz Durrani, Hanif Shah, Azam Khan,  Tahir Altaf, Hayat Gul, Rizwanullah, Farmanullah, Latifullah, Rafatullah, Khurshid Alam, Manzoor Qadir, Rahmanullah, Iqbal Ali, Imtiaz, Aqib Saeed, Murtaza, Jalaluddin, Usmanzada, Mushtaq,

Other districts including Peshawar have also been directed to identify the teachers and the educational institute staff involved in May 9 incidents.

Last month, the PTI member took to the streets to vent their spleen against the arrest of party chief Imran Khan in a corruption case.

They damaged public property, state assets and sensitive installations.

They stormed GHQ in Rawalpindi, Jinnah House in Lahore and Radio Pakistan in Peshawar. Innocent persons lost their lives and the riots left a trail of destruction.

The authorities have taken stern action and launched a crackdown on the rioters.
