The bail pleas of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders were dismissed for not appearing before the court in Hafizabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The bail pleas of PTI ex-MNA Shaukat Bhatti, ticket-holder Sikandar Bhatti, Rai Amjad Malik, Gul Nawaz, Malik Shiraz and others were dismissed.

Cases had been registered against the accused for using offensive language against the institutions on May 9 last.

It was learnt that the PTI Hafizabad leaders did not appear before the court due to the fear of arrest.

A heavy contingent of Hafizabad police kept waiting for the PTI local leadership in the court.
