Several injured as bull goes wild in Haripur

A sacrificial bull went on a rampage in Haripur on the first day of Eidul Azha after an amateur butcher failed to properly handle the animal during the ritual slaughter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to the report, the chaotic scene unfolded when untrained butchers attempted for over two hours to subdue the powerful bull. 

Despite repeated efforts, the animal refused to go down, performing what eyewitnesses described as "gymnastic-like jumps" every time the butchers tried to bring it to the ground.

The bull, in its frenzied state, kicked another animal, injuring it severely, and wounded multiple bystanders during its escape attempts. 

One local resident began filming the dramatic ordeal but eventually gave up out of exhaustion, while the bull continued to wreak havoc.

According to witnesses, the animal’s strength and resistance caused panic among onlookers, and the situation remained tense for over two hours. 

Eventually, more than a dozen professional butchers were called in to regain control of the animal and complete the slaughter with great difficulty.

No serious injuries were reported, though several people sustained minor to moderate injuries, and at least one other sacrificial animal was left seriously wounded.
