Acid attack victim Dr Mahnoor undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital

Treatment of Dr Mahnoor, who was injured in an acid attack in Quetta, has begun at Aga Khan Hospital, where doctors are closely monitoring her condition.

According to hospital sources, Dr Mahnoor has suffered burns to approximately 13 percent of her body. The side portions of both her eyes were affected in the attack; however, her vision remains intact.

Sources said that specialists in plastic surgery and ophthalmology have completed a detailed examination of the patient. Burn injuries have been identified on her face, belly, legs and right hand.

Dr Mahnoor has been shifted to the hospital's Special Care Unit for further treatment and observation. Hospital sources said another medical examination will be conducted after 24 hours to assess her progress and determine the next course of treatment.

According to sources, the patient's condition is currently satisfactory. Hospital officials expressed optimism about her recovery and said they are hopeful that Dr Mahnoor will make a speedy recovery.

The acid attack case has drawn significant attention, with medical teams continuing efforts to ensure the best possible care for the injured doctor.
