Journalist shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Musakhel

A journalist associated with a private television channel was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Musakhel Bazaar, police said on Saturday.

According to police, journalist Lala Israfeel was targeted outside his shop in the bazaar. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot.

Police said the victim was struck by six bullets during the attack. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing.

The incident has sparked concern among the local journalist community and residents of the area.
