Inspector general (IG) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Tuesday made amendments in laws for funeral arrangement funds and endowments given to employees for marriage of girls, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Additional IG Welfare and Finance issued notification on the orders of IG Punjab Anwar which stated that all the daughters of employees will get the same amount of Rs100000 on their marriages. Earlier, the amount given to employees was the most for the first daughters’ marriage and it reduced for the others. The name of the fund was also changed from Dowry charges to “Wedding Gift” in the latest amendment.

The fund given to the family on the death of the employee was also increased by 100%. Now, the family will get Rs100000 instead of Rs50000 for the funeral charges. The kin of the employees who expire after retirement will get Rs50000 as financial support.
