Woman shot dead in her Khairpur house

Unidentified armed assailants barged into a house located in Babarlo area of Khairpur and shot dead a woman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Shamim Sheikh who was 40 years old. The husband of the woman said that some known accused killed his wife.

Soon after receiving the report of the incident, local police reached the area and after taking custody of the dead body shifted the same to Civil Hospital for autopsy.

SHO of Babarloi Police Station said that the police after registering a case of murder started raiding different locations to apprehend the culprits.

Earlier in February 2025, a father-son duo attacked a young man and killed him after repeatedly hitting him with an axe for cutting a tree in tehsil Nara of Khairpur.
