Adiyala Jail prisoner dies in Rawalpindi hospital

An 85-year-old prisoner who was serving a jail term in a murder case died in District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, prisoner Sultan Mehmood was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital after his health deteriorated due to old age and illness.
Sultan Mehmood was imprisoned in a murder case filed against him at the Kalar Sayadian Police Station in Rawalpindi in 2019.
Later, his dead body was shifted to the hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem.
His body will be handed over to his heirs after the completion of legal proceedings.
