Corona-positive Sindh Governor rejects Corona Relief Ordinance

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, who is himself a coronavirus positive, has raised objections on the Corona Emergency Relief Ordinance introduced by PPP provincial government led by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to details, the Sindh cabinet had given its nod to the Corona Relief Ordinance and forwarded it to the governor for approval but Imran Ismail raised objections. The governor argued that reduction in electricity and gas bills is not the right step by the provincial government.
The Sindh Cabinet had sent the ordinance on April 27 to the governor for approval. Due to these objections, the Sindh Cabinet will re-approve the Ordinance.
On April 27, it was reported that Governor Imran Ismail had tested positive for coronavirus. Two days later, he said “I feel fine and am not symptomatic.”
On Tuesday last, Ismail tweeted it was his ninth day in quarantine and he was feeling a lot better. “Had a few symptoms like coughing, fever & a little shortness of breath earlier which is now fading out,” he said, adding that he will get tested again soon.
Thirty of Governor Ismail’s friends and family members he had interactions with got themselves tested and all the results came back negative.
