UN flight arrives in Islamabad, returns to Kabul
The United Nations operated special flights to and from Islamabad on Thursday to transport passengers between Pakistan and Afghanistan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The special flight landed at Islamabad International Airport in the morning as 16 passengers arrived from the Afghan capital, Kabul. They were later shifted to quarantine at different hotels in the federal capital after thermal screening.
Later around noon, the flight returned to Kabul from Islamabad with four passengers on board.
The UN flights came as different countries – including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and others – have arranged special operations for their citizens stuck in Pakistan.
