A police encounter in Manawan area of Lahore has resulted in the death of two wanted criminals, reported 24NewsHDS TV channel on Saturday. 

A joint raid by Harbanspura Police and Bata Police was conducted near a fish farm in Manawan. On seeing the police, the four absconders opened fire at them which was retaliated by the police. 

The shootout resulted in the death of two accused while two other remained successful in fleeing.  

According to the police, the dead criminals were identified as Sher Gul and Shaukat. They were wanted for shooting dead a police official, Naveed, a few days ago.
