CM Maryam Nawaz declares emergency in Punjab
Security forces on high alert, schools closed across province: Hospital staff leaves cancelled: Civil Defence officials summoned on duty
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared a state of emergency across Punjab, placing all security institutions, including police, on high alert following the rising security threats in the region, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to official announcements, all educational institutions across the province will remain closed today as part of precautionary measures.
In a swift and sweeping move, the Punjab government has also cancelled all leaves of doctors and medical staff at public hospitals, instructing them to immediately report for duty.
Additionally, district administrations across all districts of Punjab have been directed to remain on high alert, with civil defence officials and personnel from all key departments also summoned for immediate response preparedness.
These steps are part of the provincial government’s intensified efforts to ensure public safety and maintain law and order amid a rapidly evolving war situation.
It is noteworthy that Indian forces attacked Punjab's three cities, Murekdke, Shakargarh, and Bahawalpur, with missiles and drones at midnight and martyred 8 innocent civilians, including kids, and injured 33.
Though the coward Indian strikes came in dead of the night, the Pakistani armed forces were alert to thwart the enemy's unprovoked attacks and during this course inflicted massive damage by shooting down five Indian fighter jets, destroying an infantry brigade headquarters and a large number of posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday morning.
