Pakistan shoots downs five Indian jets, destroys brigade HQs

Though the coward Indian strikes came in dead of the night, the Pakistani armed forces were alert to thwart the enemy's unprovoked attacks and during this course inflicted massive damage by shooting down five Indian fighter jets, destroying an infantry brigade headquarters and a large number of posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday morning.

Talking to Reuters news agency, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has confirmed that Pakistan has shot down five Indian fighter jets in retaliation to India’s unprovoked and cowardly attack on Pakistani soil.

According to the defence minister, the Indian jets were downed while attempting firing missiles from inside Indian territory to launch attacks into Pakistan.

Pakistan has confirmed three locations have been hit in what it described as a "cowardly Indian attack". Indian strikes hit targets in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Shakkargarh, Bahawalpur and Muridke. Pakistan has said Islamabad will respond "at a time and place of its choosing".

Residents in Muzaffarabad in Azad Kashmir told the BBC they were jolted by huge explosions while locals in Indian-occupied Kashmir said they heard explosions near the Line of Control.

Meanwhile, India has claimed that it has struck nine sites in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir in a "focused, measured and non-escalatory" manner as part of Operation Sindoor.

India authorities said three Indian civilians have been killed in military action by Pakistani troops in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval briefed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio shortly after New Delhi's strikes on Pakistan, the Indian embassy in Washington said Tuesday.

"India's actions have been focused and precise," the embassy said in a statement, adding that Rubio, who is also currently the acting US national security advisor, had been briefed "on the actions taken."

Citing security sources, the five downed Indian aircraft included three Rafale jets, one MiG-29, and one SU-30, in addition to two Heron drones that were also brought down by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

In parallel operations along the Line of Control (LOC), Pakistani forces destroyed multiple Indian military posts, significantly damaging enemy fortifications.

Most notably, Pakistan reportedly obliterated the headquarters of India’s 12 Infantry Brigade, part of the 9 Division under the 15 Corps, in a decisive missile strike. Footage of the destruction has surfaced on social media and quickly went viral.

Security officials further stated that Pakistan’s missile strikes on Indian posts across the LOC, including the Dudhniyal sector, resulted in significant enemy casualties.

Additionally, Pakistan forces destroyed India's Chhatri and Gufdar posts, with effective retaliatory strikes hitting the Joli post and Budori sector, forcing around 50 Indian troops to abandon their positions.

Artillery fire by Pakistani forces targeted the retreating Indian troops, reportedly inflicting heavy losses.

Similarly, in the Peer Kanthi sector, reports confirm that Indian soldiers vacated at least 40 checkposts, while Pakistan’s artillery successfully destroyed the Dana post.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army continues to thwart Indian attacks along the LOC, forcing Indian troops to retreat under pressure.

Amid rising tensions, two official Indian government websites — including those of the Ministry of Food and Climate Change — were hacked, further aggravating India’s internal security concerns.

Earlier today, the Pakistan Army spokesperson confirmed in a Wednesday morning live talk that 8 people were martyred and 33 wounded in Indian missile strikes at six places inside Pakistan late on Tuesday night.

According to Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, director general of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian Army carried out missile strikes in Azad Kashmir and Punjab.

In Ahmedpur East, he said, three people were martyred and 31 wounded in the Indian missile strikes. Here, India attacked Subhan Mosque. Family quarters near the mosque were also damaged in the airstrike. 

In Muzaffarabad, India again targeted a mosque where they carried out seven strikes. A child was martyred in this strike. 

In Kotli, Azad Kashmir, India carried out missile strikes on a mosque. Two people were martyred and two others wounded in these strikes.

In Muridke, the Indian Army struck a mosque, leaving one person martyred and one wounded.

In Kotli Lohara, Sialkot, Indian Army carried out two strikes but their were no reports of any damage.

In Shakargarh too, no casualties were reported in two strikes.

The ISPR DG said that India targeted civilians, including women and children in these strikes. 

Several enemy posts destroyed

Giving a befitting reply to India, Pakistan has destroyed several Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC).

Security sources told the 24News TV channel that the Pakistan Army had destroyed three posts of the enemy in Battal sector, and an equal number of posts in Shahpur sector.

They informed that Pakistani forces had also demolished Chatri, Pando and Gufdar posts.

Sources informed that the Pakistan Army had inflicted heavy losses on the Indian troops, which had attacked Pakistan in the darkness of the night, forcing them to retreat.

Rangers shoot down Indian drone in Shakargarh

Pakistan Rangers on Wednesday shot down an Indian drone after intercepting it in Sharkargarh sector.

Security sources said that India tried to infiltrate into Pakistan territory in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.

The sources further revealed that Pakistan Army was busy in retaliating Indian attacks with full force.

 

Meanwhile, Pakistan Army foiled another attempt of Indian forces to violate Pakistani airspace by shooting down its third drone in Kotli Sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Security sources said that the Indian drone was trying to enter into Pakistan airspace but timely action by Pakistan Army thwarted nefarious designs of India.

It is necessary to mention here that Pakistan Army already shot down two Indian drones in Baranala and Shakargarh sectors.
