CM Maryam says no room for black sheep in PERA force

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has made it clear that only honest and giving remarkable performance will be tolerated in Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA) force and there was no room for corruption officers and officials in the force. 

Chairing a meeting to review the performance of PERA force, CM Maryam said that PERA officials and officers involved in illegal activities should face three years in jail instead of just three days of detention. 

She said that the record of each and every one in PERA will be opened, the past will be seen, those who are clean should not be afraid, but those who are dishonest should be prepared for action. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given a deadline of June 30 to install body cams on PERA officials. 

Chief Minister ordered scrutiny of 4,000 Force personnel and officers. She also ordered to update PERA Internal Intelligence and Whistleblower System. She directed exemplary action against elements defaming the name of Pera. 

The fourth meeting of Pera Force was chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. She was told that the total strength of the Pera Field Formation is 8,000, out of which 4711 seats have been filled. She was told that recruitment process has been completed through PPSC.
