Gold price shines by Rs7,800 in Pakistan

The prices of gold witnessed a significant increase in the local market on Thursday, with 24-karat gold per-tola rate rising by Rs7,800 to settle at Rs496,762 compared to Rs488,962 on the previous trading day, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs6,687 to Rs425,893 from Rs419,206, whereas the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs6,130 to Rs390,416 against Rs384,286.

In the international market, the price of gold rose by $78 to $4,744 per ounce from $4,666.

Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 373 to Rs 8,445 from Rs 8,072, while the price of 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs 320 to Rs 7,240 from Rs 6,920.

The price of silver in the international market also increased by $3.73 to $79.61 per ounce from $75.88.
