Rights of provinces cannot be reduced under NFC award, JUI will oppose it: Maulana Fazl

JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the proposed draft of the 27th Amendment has not been revealed by the government, if something comes to light, JUI will talk about it, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Talking to media in Islamabad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the rights of the provinces cannot be reduced in the NFC award. He said JUI will oppose if the rights of the provinces are violated. 

Maulana Fazl said it was not right to include in the amendment that the government had withdrawn from. 

Fazl said a year has passed, but the recommendations of the Islamic Ideology Council, have not been passed. 

JUI chief said these recommendations regarding the usury system were part of the 26th Amendment. He said not registering madrasas is an insult to the Assembly. 

Maulana Fazl said those who were being martyred for the country are our children. 

Maulana Fazl said state of the affairs in not ideal as nothing positive is happening. JUI chief demanded that collective thinking is needed. 

Maulana Fazl urged that all stakeholders should be brought together to create a collective national opinion. 

He said Parliament was on one page in the 18th Amendment. He said it took a long time to pass the 18th Amendment. Maulana Fazl said it took a month to pass the 26th Amendment. 

Maulana Fazl said when the 27th amendment comes out, we will know how long it will take, Maulana Fazlur Rehman. It is good if there is an atmosphere of dialogue, Maulana Fazl said if the need arises, he will definitely meet the PPP leadership.
