Police arrested and allegedly brutally tortured a groom named Junaid, a resident of Daud Shah area of Bannu, for continuing his wedding ceremony late Tuesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

The TV channel reported that Cantonment Police also arrested the groom's brother who went to see his brother in the lock-up.

The victim family staged a protest outside the hospital where the groom was treated for his injuries claiming that the police resorted to inhuman behaviour with both the brothers.
